Abstract:Based on the conventional meteorological observation data, Doppler radar data and FNL reanalysis data, a disastrous hail weather process occurred in Anshun, Guizhou Province on April 17, 2020 is analyzed. The results show that The plateau short-wave trough, the shear line in the middle and low level, the low level jet stream and the ground convergence line are the main influencing systems leading to the local strong hail weather process, the hail appears at the top of 850 hPa wet tongue and near the high temperature center on the ground. On the one hand, TBSS and the front inflow gap appear together on the reflectivity factor map of C-band radar, which indicates the generation of heavy hail. On the other hand, the storm cells had obvious strong echo overhang and weak echo zone in the low layer, and the strong echo extension height greater than 50 dBz is greater than -20 ℃ layer height, which indicates that the storm develops strongly in the vertical direction.VIL value had obvious changes before and after hail precipitation,One to two individuals scan VIL before hail fall, VIL≥30 kg·m-2 during hail fall, and VIL≥50 kg·m-2 in the presence of large hail fall, and VIL value decreases rapidly after hail fall.
