Abstract:This paper made a comprehensive analysis of the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of hailstones and radar echo features in liupanshui city by making use of the hail precipitation data of 42 artificial rain-increasing and hail prevention work stations in liupanshui city from 2012 to 2017. The analysis shows that the hailstorm weather in liupanshui city occurred from march to August, most in May, least in July and August, mainly distributed in the south of panzhou city, the north of shuicheng county, and the northeast of liuzhi special district. Before the hail fall, the height of the 45dBZ echo top will jump, and the height of the 60dBZ strong echo center is more than 5Km, which can be used as an important reference indicator for the hail warning in the city.
